Søhusene is a five-storey residential building with a clear ambition to construct the structural shell entirely in timber.
Woodconstruction was responsible for the supply and installation of the load-bearing timber structures, as well as the installation of timber cassettes.
The entire structure is made of timber, including the elevator shafts.
The structure is built using CLT and glulam, while the rear walls are constructed as timber cassettes. This solution requires the different elements to work together with precision in both design and installation.
The project was developed in close collaboration with Norconsult, with early involvement to ensure that the structure, detailing, and execution are fully coordinated.
We love building with wood. And we want the rest of the world to join us. Woodconstruction is the Nordic region's most experienced in timber construction.
