The new operations and administration building for HOFOR (Hovedstadens Forsyningsselskab) on Amager will be constructed with a load-bearing glulam structure and built with Jakon A/S as the main contractor.

The client has high sustainability requirements, and the building will therefore be DGNB Gold certified.

The operations building will feature a glulam load-bearing structure, along with facade and roof cassettes from Roust Element.

The entire building will be covered, and the construction will be carried out protected from the elements, using four overhead cranes. Each of the six large roof trusses weighs more than 4 tons.

Woodconstruction A/S is responsible for constructing the new operations building and headquarters for HOFOR on Kløvermarksvej, Amager.
