Byens Hus, Otterup

Byens Hus in Otterup is a new cultural centre with a library and citizen service centre, built in the town centre for Nordfyn Municipality.

Woodconstruction was responsible for the design, supply, and installation of the load-bearing CLT and glulam structures, acting as the structural shell installer for Guldfeldt A/S.

The structure is built with CLT as the load-bearing elements and glulam as exposed columns and beams throughout the building.

The exposed glulam structure places demands on execution, where connections and transitions must appear precise in the finished result.

The building was constructed in the centre of town, where planning and handling of deliveries formed an important part of the execution.
