Horsevænget

Woodconstruction has designed, supplied and installed glulam for the refurbishment and extension of Horsevænget Daycare Centre for Rødovre Municipality, in collaboration with main contractor ELINDCO.

The new extension is being constructed over two storeys, using glulam and timber cassettes as part of the load-bearing structural system. The project has been designed to meet the low-emission class, with a maximum climate impact of 8 kg CO₂e/m²/year, and LCA and material selection have been actively incorporated throughout the design process.

Moisture management has also been an important focus of the project. Woodconstruction has contributed practical experience from timber construction sites, particularly in relation to protection, moisture control and the handling of glulam throughout delivery and installation.
