Just outside Kristiansand, Woodconstruction Norway has erected the shell structure for the office building Lumber 5 – a modern and environmentally certified construction with a focus on sustainability, aesthetics, and flexibility.

The building is constructed in glulam and clad with heartwood pine, which not only ensures a warm and natural expression but also significantly reduces the CO₂ footprint compared to traditional building materials. Solar panels are installed on the roof, contributing to the building’s energy class A.

Lumber 5 will be certified according to BREEAM-NOR Very Good and is being built with a focus on circular material use and future adaptability. With its seven floors and 6,600 m², the building combines functionality and aesthetics, where offices, workshops, an auditorium, and shared facilities merge into a cohesive and environmentally friendly whole.

The project is part of the expansion of Lumber Teknopark, which will total 58,000 m² of commercial space.
